22nd August 2008
Please note that due to circumstances at the DockGate 20 Harley shop, the PV gig there has been postponed. Hopefully the event (lots of bikes, and loud music!) should go ahead in a month or two.
5th February 2008
PV's long serving guitarist Ralph Moore has decided to take a break, and has retired from the band. We're like to thank him for the work he's put into the band over the last few years. For the rest of the band it's business as usuall - with perhaps a little more room on stage at gigs like the Lord Nelson. PV will be operating with Matt taking sole guitar duties until further notice.
12th April 2007
PV have just been confirmed to play the Thomas Trip Late and Live on Wednesday 30 May. With most of the other Christchuch venues closed down, this is the only time that the band will be back to Christchurch this year so don't miss it. It's also a rare chance to see the band on a big stage (well bigger than the Lord Nelson...). Support will be provided by White Room.
18th January 2007
The PV Boys have been in the studio (at last!), and produced a three track EP. Clips are now available on the bands website, and the full versions should be available to buy in the next few weeks.
12th December 2006
Bring in the new year with PV! The band will be playing the King Charles in Poole on New Years Eve. You'll need a ticket to get in, so grab one while there are still some left - available from the venue.
23rd October 2006
PV have a few weeks off, but the boys are still busy... You can get a mini-fix of heavy rock on Wednesday 25th October at Subterfuge Rock night (aka the Portman/Green Room) where Matt and Ian will be joined by QED drummer Rob. Vocals will be provided by... YOU! Thats right - think of it as Karaoke with a real band. You can pick a song, and get up and sing it with some of your favourite local rockers!
Neil hasn't really got much to worry about - it's all just in fun. Effort is more important than talent, so there's really no excuse not to give it a go.
21st September 2006
Following lead singer Neil's misshap at the Stag a couple of weeks ago, his leg is Currently in plaster! He'll be singing on crutches this weekend at the Manor and the Red Shoot. Contrary to early reports the following weeks gigs at the Cove and the Ship will go ahead.
24th August 2006
Following Ian's sucsessful gigs with QED a few weekends ago, QED are returning the favour, by loaning their guitarist Pete to PV, to cover for Matt at Saturdays gig at the Ship in Christchurch. This is for one night only, so QED fans need to get down there and see us put Pete to work!
7th August 2006
Saturday's gig at the King Charles is a biggy - not just for PV but for all the bands that play there. The new management are deciding if they should continue live music, and basically the whole decision depends on the PV 12th August gig! Most of the bands in the area love playing the King Charles, so please make an effort to show up for this gig, and maybe save the venue - for PV, for all local bands, and for yourselves...
